In the German dub of the Madagascar movies the penguins were voiced by a hip hop group. Since they're musicians, not full-time voice actors, the penguins had to get other voices when the show came along. This phrase bothers me, because it's so nonsensical with its categories. Though making it "men, women, boys and girls" would be no better, because that would be ignoring non-binary people even more than the original phrase does. It could be "adults and children" or just "people".

I know, languages change, but it's annoying when wrong things are used so much that they're bound to become right. Instead of asking "möchtest du" ("would you like to"), friends and my sister keep asking me "magst du" ("do you like to"). ARGH! Should I annoy them back and correct them?
